Astrology has descriptions of many good and bad Yogas. Panch Mahapurusha Rajayoga is one of the most auspicious yoga in Vedic astrology.

In Birth Chart, Five planets- Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn make the Panch Mahapurusha Yogas- Ruchak yoga, Bhadra yoga, Hans yoga, Malavya yoga and Shash yoga respectively, when any of the five planets are in the Kendra ("angular" house that are the first, fourth, seventh and tenth houses) , in their own house, in Mool-Trikona, or in exalted zodiac sign in the Kendra. However, Sun, Moon, Rahu and Ketu are not considered in this Rajyoga.
How is the Panch Mahapurusha Yoga formed?
When any of the five planets (that are Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn) are situated in the angular houses (1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house), in their own house or in exalted zodiac in the kendra, or in Mool-Trikona, Panch Mahapurusha Yoga is formed.
Effects of Panchamahapurusha Raja Yoga:
The five parts of Panchmahapurush yogas give kingly life to a person. Their results does not depend on dashas only, but they do give superior success in their dasha and antra-dasha. According to Phaladeepika one such yoga makes a man lucky; two, equal to a king; three, a king; four, an emperor and five, higher to an emperor. Other admirable rajyogas if also caused simultaneously by these planets increase their excellent results, any prospect or conjunction amend these yogas.
