Also called the Ascendant, the very first house represents the birth itself, becoming a person. It symbolizes life itself, and the entire body and its physical structure. Whatever affects the first house will have its influence on the whole lifetime, the personality, the nature and character, the body along with the complexion. Events happening during and soon after birth also belong to the first house. Physically, the first house corresponds to the first portion of our body, the head or mind itself (and the brain and skull specifically). The correspondence with Aries (Mesha) adds mobility and great strength.
